Mr. Willson’s finance background brings a unique talent & perspective to Land A/D Projects, as well as Construction & Development Cost Management, & Project Management as a whole. Having an intimate understanding of financing and banking provides a unique perspective regarding agreements that help ensure success throughout the acquisition and development phases. Beginning with the end in mind; such as long-term financing, Lance is able to structure a development in such a way to remove obstacles for end consumers improving the overall success for the project.
In addition to managing developments and construction loans for other parties, Mr. Willson has taken his own projects from acquisition, through entitlements & development, to final Lot Sales.
Loan Servicing Experience includes Construction & Development Loan Management, Long-term loan servicing, Note Acquisition, & selling loans on the Secondary Markets. Loan Servicing performed for both private parties & Credit Unions.
Marketing programs have been implemented and carried out by Mr. Willson for law firms & the Real Estate industry; including social media platforms. Interests also include writing business plans; creating pro forma and financial reports; developing policies and procedures; writing grants; & has a keen understanding of financing.
Mr. Willson has the ability to facilitate and manage multiple projects at once and bring a business idea from concept to operations. His approach to business, project, & financial policies/procedures ensure industry compliance, provides checks & balances; preparing for internal & external audits, & transitioning information to meaningful reports that measure production quality, compliance, and profitability, & has over twenty years of management & financial experience.
As a Part-Owner and Corporate Officer for Varent Inc, a wholesale/retail mortgage banking entity, Mr. Willson helped build the Company from the ground up. Policies, procedures, & its quality assurance plans were ahead of its time in the industry. In an effort to expand funding options, he joint ventured with a local Credit Union increasing their credit lines by over $40 Million.
Management Experience also includes Branch Manager and FHA DE Underwriter at Mountain America Financial Services, DBA Q Mortgage; a for profit arm of Mountain America Credit Union; Branch Manager at Security National Mortgage Company (SNMC); & Corporate Officer with Western States Funding (WSF).
Lance Willson helped build WSF from a small Brokerage to a Corporate Lending Banker. At SNMC Mr. Willson was a recipient of the President’s Award, the Chairman’s Award, & Awarded Outstanding Retail Manager for his contribution towards a combined volume of over $2.5 Billion USD in Originations.
While at SNMC he took over a branch and cleared 158 of 160 loans on a Suspense List ($26+ million in resolution) in record time, improved delivery quality from 34% to 100% in five months, and turned the branch into a viable profit center.
